Underlay
felt
We always insist that an
underlay
felt is used beneath all Pond liners to protect it from puncture by sharp
stones etc. Other methods for protecting a Pond Liner are often used,
including a layer of sand, but we do not supply these materials. We supply a
needle punched, non-woven 250gsm polyester underlay felt. This material is
available from Absolute koi as a 2m wide strip and we generally supply it as a
30.5m (100ft) roll, re-rolled on a 0.8m wide core to suit our roll stand.
Remember to allow for a minimum 10cm - 20cm overlap per strip when calculating
your underlay sheet size.
