Key features of this well constructed compact "CL" range are the options of the filters being pump or gravity feed (meaning below ground), whilst meanwhile being very simple to maintain.

Cloverleaf CL1 or CL1V
Size 660 x 660 x 560mm high. Suitable for Koi ponds up to 1,250 gallons (5,625 litres), or Goldfish ponds up to 2,500 gallons (11,250 litres). The 4 Bay CL1 unit comprises of the first bay fitted with mechanical brushes, Bay 2 acting as a biological chamber with its “Flocore” medium, Bay 3 with Japanese Matting as a high performance biological medium, and Bay 4 serving as the final biological/mechanical stage - incorporating foam and the highly proclaimed aqua rock/alfagrog. Size 990 x 990 x 760mm high. Suitable for Koi ponds up to 2,500 gallons (11,250 litres). This 4 Bay unit comprises of a first stage vortex bay, with Bay 2 being fitted with mechanical brushes, Bay 3 acting as a main biological bay with its “Flocore” medium (or alternative Japanese Matting), and Bay 4 serving as the secondary and final biological/mechanical stage - incorporating foam and the highly proclaimed aqua rock/alfagrog. Cloverleaf CL4
Size 1600 x 1600 x 1200mm high. Suitable for Koi ponds up to 5,000 gallons (22,500 litres). As standard this system is supplied without a lid, and without any filtration mediums – thus giving the pond keeper full flexibility in choice. A "CL4 Optional Media Kit" is available at extra cost as shown on the diagram with 28 Brushes, Jap-Mat, Foam & Aquarock. General description as for “CL2” & “CL3” filters. Introducing the ADTEC Professional CL with PSS (Particle Separation System)

Incorporation of the PSS advanced technology into the CL Professional range has meant a far greater increase in filter efficiency to the degree that maximum pond capacity ratings can be increased by 100% beyond the standard CL range.

This means :

The ADTEC CL2 is for Koi ponds up to 5,000 gallons
The ADTEC CL3 is for Koi ponds up to 7,500 gallons
The ADTEC CL4 is for Koi ponds up to 10,000 gallons

The key design concept of the PSS is to trap and remove suspended particles and solids from the water which would typically flow straight through many vortex bays and thus pollute any biological media. This is especially the case with small diameter vortex units which are not the ultimate in efficiency.

In brief then the PSS can be classified as a highly refined vortex unit, which of course means that any existing filter or bays require far less maintenance this also meaning a greater biological bed is established.

Trapping of particles and solids is achieved via Cloverleaf’s uniquely designed and manufactured long life Particle Separation Media (PSM) which is retained in suspension at all times. When the PSM (media) becomes blocked it is time for it to be cleaned via the airstone ring, however any blockage which is visually indicated by water flowing up through the central overflow does not substantially reduce the flow rate through the rest of any filter system so general flow rates/performance are never greatly restricted. Biological integrity of the PSM (media) is always fully maintained in that it is always ONLY ever cleaned via oxygen rich mature pond water.

Cloverleaf The “Genesis” range

The “Genesis” range of multi bay in-line filtration systems are available in 3 sizes, and whilst generally emulating the design concept and standards of the “CL” range they are better suited to the mixed ornamental pond, or the small Koi pond where high fish loads are not present.

The range offers very good value for money, and with its neat design and low height is hardly ever obtrusive in any garden setting. Filtration mediums are the same as the “CL” range, with only genuine Japanese matting being used where applicable.

Genesis 2500

Size 1050 x 510 x 630mm. Suitable for Koi ponds up to 1,250 gallons (5675 litres. This 2 Bay unit comprises of a vortex bay together with a biological/mechanical bay incorporating foam and the highly proclaimed aqua rock/alfagrog. This unit would also be very useful if fed from a skimmer unit on a larger pond. Note, all Genesis range are supplied with slatted timber lids. Note:- Pipe inlet size 110mm (4") - Outlet 82mm (3").

Genesis 3500

Size 1590 x 510 x 630mm. Suitable for Koi ponds up to 1,750 gallons (7875 litres. This 3 Bay unit comprises of a first stage vortex bay, with Bay 2 being fitted with mechanical brushes, and Bay 3 serving as the main biological/mechanical stage - incorporating foam and the highly proclaimed aqua rock/alfagrog. Genesis 4500 Size 2130 x 510 x 630mm. Suitable for Koi ponds up to 2,250 gallons (10,125 litres), or Goldfish ponds up to 4,500 gallons (20,250 litres). This 4 Bay unit comprises of a first stage vortex bay, with Bay 2 being fitted with mechanical brushes, Bay 3 acting as a main biological bay with its “Flocore” medium (or alternative Japanese Matting at an extra cost), and Bay 4 serving as the secondary biological/mechanical stage - incorporating foam and the highly proclaimed aqua rock/alfagrog. Although all “Cloverleaf” multi bay filters are sturdily constructed, the superb Genesis Mk 2 range is built like a battleship, and as a consequence can be placed in locations requiring backfilling.

With the range being highly suitable for larger ponds special design large multi bay configurations are possible – subject to negotiation with the factory. It is a great rarity to find a manufacturer who will construct a "one off" filtration system in accordance with a customers specific requests, but Cloverleaf will happily do precisely that.

Cloverleaf Compact range

Frequently overlooked by the hobbyist this range does have a lot to offer. Key features of the “Compact Series” (suitable for pump supply only) are the small footprint when space is restricted, coupled with the innovative design concept of incorporating an integral vortex style cavity for the settlement of solids – thereby reducing maintenance.

 Filtration mediums comprise of multi foam layers offering both mechanical and biological attributes, with high performance “Aquarock” forming the foundation for a biological bed for colonisation from beneficial bacteria. This range can also be used as a superb separate system for connecting to a skimmer unit. All units are supplied with a timber slatted lid, together with waste valve set.

Biological Fluid Bed Filters

The ability of Fluid Bed filters to biological cater for extremely high level fish loads has been well documented, as have the wear and short life problems encountered by some companies producing such devices back in the year 2000.

Only now in 2007 after considerable field and laboratory research can Cloverleaf offer the very best in FB’s – assisted greatly by the unique specification of silica sand used, and which is known to offer superior bacteria colonisation than that achieved by coral sand and other common types.

Combo DeLuxe Multi Bay Vegetable Filter

Making the best from known research of vegetable filters reducing nitrates, and thus greatly helping to reduce algae’s (especially blanket weed).

Cloverleaf have combined such attributes into a small 5 stage multi bay filter thereby offering the best of both worlds.

Key features of design are the quality of mechanical and biological mediums used together with a desired up and down water flow pattern through the unit – all making for a somewhat unique system that only needs a major service once a year.

Plants are not supplied, but an adequate quantity of lightweight aqua-bead planting media is supplied to fill the lid.
