An important but very often forgotten piece of equipment when it comes to pond construction is the Surface Skimmer - but don't panic we have the answer. A brand new and boxed floating skimmer which can be installed in minutes. The pond skimmer is designed to skim, or pull off floating debris, foam bubbles and dust from the surface of your pond by suction, giving the water a polished look.The skimming action is created using a pump which is attached to the skimmer.

The recommended size of pump would be 2000 - 6000 ltr/hr . The pump pulls the water and debris through a plastic mesh strainer basket and then returns it to your pond via waterfall, fountain or filter system. Best practice would be to return the water via some independent filter so as not to reintroduce the dust and small particles. The skimmer is of top quality solid construction and comes with chain and basket to allow you to weight it down to whatever depth you require. It could also be attached to a water pump in the bottom of the pond.

The head of the skimmer floats independently of the main body and automatically adjusts to the depth of the your pond - so there is no need to adjust the chain once fitted. It comes with a stepped hosetial connector to fit any size flexipipe.
