For those who may not know the purpose of these special and strange looking Koi socks, these are used to lift the Koi safely from the koi pond or koi bowl and allows you to transfer that Koi without causing damage, without the danger of dropping it, to another tank, pond or bowl.
The Koi is netted Head first, if possible, into the koi sock and pulled along under the Koi until the Koi, or any other fish, is safely inside and then it is a matter of gripping the end of the tube so that the fish does not drop out of the other end, as this end is open, and lifting it clear of the water and taking it to where you wish to place the koi. Then it is a very simple matter of holding the net using the handle over the water to where it is being transferred allowing the open end of the net to hang into the water and releasing your grip, the koi will then gently slide out of the open end.
There are two sizes in the range of Matsuda Koi socks at the moment, 27 cm Dia and 30 cm Dia, both watertight, this watertight model allows water to also be transferred so the body of the fish is not in contact with the net itself, many of the Japanese Breeders and Dealers are now opting to use this kind of Transfer Tube as there is less risk of damaging the koi being moved.

Damages
Although we check that items we send are in good condition before despatched and are packed well to prevent damage, it is sometimes inevitable that the occasional item will get broken in transit.
Should this happen, please let us know within 24 hours of receiving your parcel. We will ask you to email us providing some images of the damage so we can address this with the courier.
We will arrange for a replacement to be sent out to you as quickly as possible, free of charge.
