The Sumo San Lantern Kyoto Range is beautifully hand carved in silver-grey granite. The Sumo San Japanese Stone Lantern is made up of four independent parts that need to be carefully stacked on top of each other to create a perfectly balanced lantern.

The Sumo San has a smooth finish, it's a small lantern that is easily moveable.
Please note there may be some slight variation in stone colour between the lantern pieces. This Japanese stone lantern is not drilled. You can place a tea light or candle in this lantern to produce light.
The Sumo San stone lanterns became very popular among Japanese tea masters and they were used to light the path through the tea garden leading towards the tea house. Ever since then, one or multiple stone lanterns are featured in almost every traditional Japanese garden.

Damages
Although we check that items we send are in good condition before despatched and are packed well to prevent damage, it is sometimes inevitable that the occasional item will get broken in transit.
Should this happen, please let us know within 24 hours of receiving your parcel. We will ask you to email us providing some images of the damage so we can address this with the courier.
We will arrange for a replacement to be sent out to you as quickly as possible, free of charge.
